General Description
Stuttgart CYS Services School Support Initiatives provides a variety of programmatic strategies and resources that the Army has undertaken to help "level the playing field" for transitioning military students. The baseline services within SLO are:

School Liaison Officers provides ACCESS for PARENTS by….
Addressing issues with youth registration in the local school system
Coordinating education transition related resources and pints of contact within school and community
Collaborating with parents to ensure academic success
Educating parents on the local school system, policies, procedures and programs and schedules
Supporting home school families
Supplying resource materials on primary, secondary, and post-secondary education

These initiatives prepare schools and installations to respond confidently to the complexities of transitions, and provide families the assurance that their children's academic well being is a priority. Stuttgart schools are part of the DoDDs Europe Heidelberg District.
