The AVC serves as the commander's consultant on volunteer issues, heads the Volunteer Advisory Council, trains installation volunteer managers, develops a volunteer job bank, and recruits, interviews and refers volunteers to organizations.
Volunteering helps the organization by expanding program capabilities. Volunteering benefits military members, civilians, retirees, spouses and youth to:
- Gain a sense of satisfaction / achievement by meeting challenges
- Learn about the Army, its sister services, and the community
- Acquire new skills and/or expand old ones
- Obtain work experience
- Build new friendship and become a cohesive part of the community

You must be registered with VMIS to become an official USAG Stuttgart volunteer! Sign up at www.myarmylifetoo.com. Be sure to select the location for which you volunteer or would like to volunteer. You will have the ability to track your own hours.
